Golden Cross Donations Matched Dollar-for-Dollar Through Year-End

By Kent McNish

If your church members observed Golden Cross Sunday and took a special offering, I thank you for your generosity.

If your church is one of the many UM churches collecting donations and resources for recent flood or hurricane victims, I also thank you. I know your gifts are being allocated where they’re needed most.

While this year’s Golden Cross Sunday with offering has come and gone, it’s not too late to take a special offering for the Golden Cross Foundation. From now through December 31, 2021, all church and individual donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by an anonymous donor up to $25,000.

If your church members value ENCORE Ministry’s older adult ministry training and resources and Golden Cross Foundation grants used to fund ministries, food pantries, and retrofitting projects benefitting older adults, please consider taking an offering. It could be as simple as a Communion rail offering or a Christmas Eve love offering.
